True, it’s an odd-duck pairing (get it?), but it looks to be accurate. Professional skater and asskicker Mike V will be partnering with the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks.
They announced the launch of a co-branded apparel line to be sold at the Anaheim Ducks Team Store and Mike V will also be featured on the Anaheim Ducks web site with his own blog.
“In my mind hockey is the original action sport,” said Mike V, a Ducks season ticket holder “Before the fame of action sports, hockey players were generally regarded as the toughest and craziest athletes on the planet.”He continues, “I think they still are. Of all the traditional and action sports, hockey and skateboarding are the only ones that are truly compatible.”
Well, there you go. As far as I’m concerned, if it’s what Mike V wants, it’s what Mike V gets.
Word of warning, don’t try to stop him…
